The Company:

We are working exclusively with a large and highly profitable organisation within the Services & Manufacturing industry, located within the Parramatta region, who are seeking a commercially focused Accounts Officer. This is an exciting maternity leave contract, not only working for an inspirational leader but a high performing team. 

The Role: 

Reporting to the Business Controller, you will be required to perform the following tasks, but not be limited to: 
  • Managing the end to end function of Accounts Payable 
  • Managing the end to end function of Accounts Receivable
  • Performing Bank Reconciliations 
  • Performing Supplier and Debtor reconciliations 
  • Assisting with end of month reconciliations 
  • Performing General Ledger reconciliations 
  • Assisting with adhoc Finance tasks as required on a weekly / monthly basis 

To be considered for this opportunity:

You will be encompass your commercial experience and bring to the table a methodical and analytical mindset. You will thrive in a busy, deadline orientated and complex environment. You will be challenged by identifying and rectifying problems promptly with a solution and build strong stakeholder relationships along the way within the organisation. Your commercial experience will lead you to have:
  • At least 4- 5 years commercial experience within the Manufacturing / FMCG / Construction or Pharmaceuticals industries 
  • Experience with large ERPs - SAP or Oracle highly desirable 
  • Intermediate excel skills with proven high volume reconciliations experience 
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Excellent time management and high level of attention to detail 
  • Methodical and analytical mindset 
On Offer:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work for a highly inspirational Finance leader who is extremely teams orientated and supportive. This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract covering a maternity leave position that has become available within the team. Remuneration for this position will be between $65,000 - $70,000 + superannuation.

Join a progressive Electrical Sub-Contractor. Operational hub and head office is located in Guildford with easy access to parking and public transport.

Key Responsibilities outlined below but not limited to:

  • Raising invoices to customers
  • Entering bills from suppliers
  • Reconciliations of supplier statements
  • Processing expenses and staff reimbursements
  • Follow up outstanding debts – AR payment matching
  • Resolve discrepancies in supplier invoices/statements
  • Provide a high and professional level of internal and external customer service
  • Interact directly with purchasing and administrative staff
  • Assisting Payroll Officer
  • Assisting debit and CC reconciliations

What you’ll need to succeed:

To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in an account’s role – essential
  • TAFE Accounting qualifications preferred
  • Experience with MYOB Accountright system or similar accounting packages
  • Experience working in a medium to large size organisation 
  • Competent in the use of Excel and MS Office
  • Ability to multitask with changing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written
  • Organised, flexible and proactive approach to completion of tasks to deadlines
  • Abilities to spot anomalies which have occurred, and rectify them
  • Be available on short notice – up to 2 week’s notice will be considered
  • Be available to work 3 days per week (8 hours per day) or 4 days (6 hours per day) 
  • Could potentially be extended to Full Time in 2021

Responsibilities:

- Accounts payable and receivable

- Prepare bank reconciliations

- Maintain fixed assets registers

- Tax and BAS preparation

- ATO reporting (including PAYG, BAS etc)

- FBT preparation

- General ledger reconciliation 

- Company administration (ASIC registration, licence registration and etc)

- Lease administration & tenancy schedules

- Arrears

- Day to day management of a mixed portfolio

- Manage managing agents (residential) and lessee (commercial)

- Approve supplier invoices and ensure falls in line with required works

- Ensure rental reviews and contractual increases are implemented

- Assist with various reports with strict due date

- Work closely with the director in project coordination and all facets of the business

- Ad hoc admin tasks

To apply you will require: 
- CPA or working towards CPA or similar qualifications

- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting, Marketing or Real Estate
- Sound experience in accounting and administration processes;
- Advanced computer skills in Outlook, Word, excel. 

- Exposure to Jobpac/ERP is preferred but not essential
- Previous experience in residential and commercial property industry is highly desired
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Excellent organisational and time management skills;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; 
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work;
- Ability to work independently;
- Own car and current driver’s license as you may be required to travel for meetings;
