An opportunity exists for a suitably skilled and experienced candidate to join our finance team. The position of Accounts Receivable is relationships focused and requires a strong understanding of financial processes, in order to provide the best possible experience for all stakeholders, but most importantly our families, within the Debtors process.

  • Full-time, 38 hours per week
  • Fixed-term position (November 2020 - July 2021) 

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate:

  • Effective communication skills with our key stakeholders
  • Effective organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • A friendly and professional telephone and personal manner
  • The ability to work independently and prioritise daily work requirements
  • The ability to maintain accurate records

 Essential to this role is: 

  • Demonstrated experience in an Accounts Receivable role
  • Qualifications in accounting or business e.g. cert IV, diploma (desirable)
  • Proven extensive customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of and experience with various accounting packages and computer software programmes, including Word and Excel
  • Cash handling experience and skills
  • Knowledge of EFTPOS processing requirements
  • A willingness to work within the School's Christian ethos and actively support the values and philosophy of the School.

Remuneration

This position is classified at Level 5 ($33.66 per hour) 

Remuneration is paid under the St Michael's Collegiate School (General Staff and Early Childhood Education and Care Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2018.

The Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR), an intergovernmental organisation based in Hobart, Tasmania invites applications for the position of Administrative Services Officer.

This exciting position will provide support in executing administrative and accounting processes, initiatives and projects.

Should you join us, you'll be stepping into a highly varied role that nestles you comfortably in a relaxed yet driven team of professionals. Perhaps you've got experience in accounting, or book-keeping, wherever you've come from, your path will be clear: help us provide key administrative support to the Finance and Administration team.

More specifically, here's what that might look like:

  • Assist with the maintenance of CCAMLR's accounts, including
  • Accounts receivable and payable
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support process improvement projects
  • Provide Front Office services
  • Assist with annual meeting logistical and administrative requirements

What does it take to impress us?

Your 5+ years' experience in an Administration role with a background in book-keeping or accounting will come in handy, as will your brilliant communication skills as you interact with a huge spectrum of personalities. You'll also need some strong analytical skills to be able to do the job, as well as an ability to think outside the box. But we have a feeling you've got those covered!
