The successful candidate will have a professional attitude, proven bookkeeping experience and a willingness to grow, develop and learn alongside our established team. 

To be successful in this role your skills and knowledge will include:

  • Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Reckon, QuickBooks and MYOB AO 
  • Management of accounts receivable and payable ledgers
  • Payroll processing, including employee entitlements, superannuation & WorkCover
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Accounts to trial balance level, including maintenance of chart of accounts
  • Good communication ability
  • Ability to work unsupervised and remain on task

About the role:

Your core duties and responsibilities will involve

  • Prepare financial statements and reports monthly quarterly and yearly
  • Prepare income tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts and other related cooperate entities
  • Preparing BAS, Bookkeeping, STP, Payroll and other quarterly and yearly reporting obligations  
  • Provide a high level of service to clients

This role would ideally suit a candidate with a strong abliity for growth development and attention to detail.  

This role represents an exciting opportunity to experience training, development and responsibilities which would take many years to achieve in larger firms. This role is excellent for individuals looking for increased responsibility, work flexibility and/or accounting/business students wanting to learn and gain experience in an accounting firm with the right attitude.

We are looking for an attentive, qualified and easy-going person to join our team and manage our accounts, logistics and administration functions. 

About the role

Part-time role (3 days) for first 3 months (working from home through current Stage 4 COVID restrictions) moving to a full-time role when restrictions ease

The role requires but is not limited to the following tasks:

  • Invoice/Data Entry
  • Raising and issuing daily sales invoices
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Payroll Function
  • BAS preparation
  • Debtor and Creditor Management
  • ATO Compliance
  • Excel Spreadsheet Management
  • Office Upkeep (Filing/Organisation/Supply Ordering)
  • Experience with shipping and logistics will be favourably considered

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Reporting to the Managing Director
  • 3 Days per week
  • Hallam VIC location

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Assisting in the preparations of budgets
  • Managing records and receipts
  • Reconciling daily, monthly and yearly transactions
  • Preparing balance sheets
  • Processing invoices
  • Developing an in-depth knowledge of organisational products and processes
  • Being a key point of contact for other departments on financial and accounting matters
  • Performing fortnightly payroll & distribution payslips
  • Processing employee expenses
  • Maintenance of company credit cards and receipting

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related accounting/business discipline
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a booking keeping or finance officer role
  • Ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to deal with busy, high pressure situations
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Ability to understand, manage and implement financial controls & policies internally which directly improve current state
  • Attention to detail with the ability to follow up outstanding items
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must have MYOB experience

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Payroll - company payroll is the most critical item for employees, ensuring staff are paid on time, every time and any issues are escalated immediately to the Managing Director
  • Cash Flow Management - ownership of input and output for cash flow management detailing the company banking and reporting on any issues to the Managing Director
  • Accounts Receivables - chasing AR invoices with key clients and putting due dates on invoicing to ensure our company accounts are paid on time
  • EOS Reporting of Key Numbers - reported on and provided on the scheduled due date for finance information to the Managing Director

We produce a large range of meat-based products and rely on our dedicated workforce to create these much-loved products. We are recruiting for a variety of positions to commence work immediately; responsibilities include: packing, quality control, machine operation, manual handling and general process work. We are seeking applications for a forklift driver in Bacon Manufacture on the weekend, working Friday 3:30pm until 12am, Saturday and Sunday 2.30pm until 11pm This is a role that offers the chance to develop your troubleshooting and diagnostic skills on a range of plant equipment and machinery.

About You
To be successful, you will:
  • Be a reliable and dedicated team member
  • Be able to perform manual tasks in a cold environment for your full shift
  • Have excellent attention to detail and an eye for quality
  • Have experience in a food manufacturing facility ideally but this is not essential
Duties & Responsibilities – Forklift Operator

  • Must have a Valid & Current Forklift Licence
  • At least 2 years’ experience of driving a Forklift (preferred but not required)
  • A safety-first approach, consistently applying OH&S policies and procedures.
