You will be responsible for the efficient & accurate running of the payroll function using Chris21 / iChris.

  • Coordinate and manage the entire payroll function

  • Change/ Review  EBAs & Awards
Skills Required:
  • A Full function payroll processing Expert using CHRIS21 is a must!
  • Strong knowledge on Awards & EBAs
  • An Expert in Excel
  • Strong, confident & up to date payroll knowledge including JobKeeper Payment.
  • Ability to priorities workflows, work autonomously with high attention to detail.
  • Top communication and presentation skills
  • Have excellent diplomacy and organisational skills.

In this position you are required, but not limited to:
  • Highly desirable experience on PRECEDA payroll system. 
  • Must have experience is using Time & Attendance systems like Kronos.
  • Must have Payroll Management experience.
  • Experience in International Payroll system - AU & NZ payroll.
  • Must be ready to get hands on payroll processing.
  • Participate in scoping implementation meetings with key business executives and stakeholders.
  • Guide staff through the implementation process and offer training.
  • Support the wider team with technical and customer queries.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Extensive experience in management of a Payroll function, services and team
  • Careful attention to detail and strong planning skills
  • Be able to coach, mentor and train staff
  • Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills

We have an opportunity for an experienced Finance Officer (12 month contract) to join our finance team, based in either Sydney or Brisbane. In this role you will be tasked with providing a high level of matter management and client support, specifically in relation to maintaining accurate client and matter set ups, special rate requirements and e-billing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a high level of matter management and client support specifically in relation to maintaining accurate client and matter set ups, special rate requirements and e-billing.
  • Manage Norton Rose Fulbright group (global) matters; ensuring Norton Rose Fulbright group clients and matters are opened correctly in the practice management system and bills are processed in accordance with global procedures;
  • Perform initial setup steps on eBilling platforms in preparation for ebill uploads, maintain eBilling setups in the practice management system, perform monthly file uploads, liaise with eBilling vendors to correct/clarify any issues, investigate and correct any ebill upload failures, maintain ebill guides and ebill client register;
  • Manage existing client and matter information in the practice management system nationally. Including, global matters, client name changes, third party payors, GST treatment, fee estimates, matter transfers;
  • Set up and amend special rates on clients and matters in the practice management system
  • Assisting with WIP management / billing/ad hoc queries;
  • Identifying potential process improvements and efficiencies;
  • Providing assistance and support within the Client Accounting team to ensure smooth functioning of the finance department;

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a part of a finance function, law firm experience an advantage but not essential.
  • Highly developed time management and organisational skills with the ability to give attention to detail, to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external clients
  • Demonstrated ability to use a high degree of initiative, and adopt a proactive approach to work;
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Knowledge of Aderant Expert or similar practice management system is preferred but not essential;

We are looking for a full time Intermediate / Senior Accountant with a minimum of 2 years Australian experience. Proficient oral and written communication skills are a must as is someone who has strong organisational skills and an eye for accuracy. Experience with accountancy work for the medical industry and the accountancy software Xero would be advantageous but certainly not essential.

At Sandercoe Accounting you would be responsible for, yet not limited to:

  • Preparation of tax returns and financial statements for individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts & superfunds.
  • Preparation of business and taxation advice
  • Advice and support around Income Tax, CGT, FBT, GST and Payroll Tax
  • Oral and written communication with the ATO, ASIC and Revenue NSW
  • BAS preparation and lodgement

Your salary will be determined on your level of experience and will be reviewed on a regular basis.
