The Role

As a result of this, a requirement has arisen for a Civil Engineer to join their team to assist with the delivery of projects who they are looking to further train and develop.

The Responsibilities

You will deliver a range of urban and small road infrastructure projects whilst working alongside highly skilled and knowledgeable Senior Engineers.  You will take the lead and run smaller projects yourself (with guidance as needed) and work as part of a larger team on bigger projects.

The Requirements

  • 2 years + experience working as a Civil Design Engineer within an engineering design consultancy within Australia

Air Link consists of two focuses. The first on the provision of charter and regular public transport services for the movement of passengers and cargo as approved by CASA. The second on the provision of aircraft maintenance (Air Link Engineering) for internal and externally owned aircraft requiring maintenance to specified standards. 

Aviation Logistics Holdings aircraft are maintained to the highest standards under Part 145 Approval.


Due to planned expansion Air Link Pty Ltd are seeking a Chief Engineer / Responsible Manager to manage aircraft and component maintenance of the Groups Class A and Class B aircraft.    

Based in Dubbo (initially) the Responsible Manager (Chief Engineer) is responsible for ensuring high level aircraft maintenance to the Aviation Logistics Holdings fleet in accordance with company policies, CAMO Exposition and AMO Exposition.

Ideally the applicant will have experience working with Beechcraft B200, Cessna 510 Citation, Cessna 310 and Piper PA31 Chieftain aircraft, with E&I experience.

The successful applicant must be able to gain CASA approval as Responsible Manager.


This position is responsible for:

  • Maintaining and supporting the maintenance operations and providing a high level of leadership to staff;
  • Planning, organising, scheduling, conducting and maintaining aircraft and component maintenance to meet highest standards and CASA regulations.
  • Liaison with the General Manager, Continuing Airworthiness Manager and Safety Manager to ensure aircraft maintenance is completed to the highest standard and within timeframes.
  • Maintenance of aircraft maintenance records using electronic systems
  • Management of aircraft stores and aeronautical product maintenance.

Mandatory Qualifications:

Applicants for this position must hold the following:

  • hold, an CASA aircraft engineer licence in category B1, B2 or C (or equivalent) preference to those engineers with multiple categories.
  • have a qualification in aircraft maintenance at least at Certificate IV level
  • have a qualification in aviation maintenance management at least at diploma level
  • have an engineering qualification at least at diploma level in any of the following disciplines: aeronautical, avionics, mechanical, electrical or electronics.
  • Experience working with piston engines.
  • Experience with component maintenance would be highly desirable.
  • CASA Approval or ability to achieve (previous experience would be highly desirable)

Desirable Qualifications / Skills

Applicants who can demonstrate the following skills and attributes will be considered highly.

  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to liaise and work harmoniously with employees, supervisors and managers
  • Ability to use aircraft maintenance electronic programs (Takeflite / Aerotrack / AVTRAC)
  • Self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work within a rapid changing and diverse environment.
  • Ability to work as a member of a small team.

This exciting position is currently available for an Environmental Engineer with 2-3 years experience in our Water Department. As an Environmental Engineer you will be responsible for managing the environmental aspects of our water projects, both in the office and in the field. 

Our water department is part of the Water Group, which is a multi-faceted group working in planning, design, construction and operation and maintenance of water, stormwater and wastewater infrastructure. 

The successful applicant will be involved from the planning phase and preparing review of environmental factors through to construction and operation and maintenance and overseeing environmental safeguards on site. 

In addition, it is expected that the successful applicant has a solid background or interest in chemical and process engineering and being able to collect and analyse water samples and understand the impact of certain parameters on the overall treatment process as well as any environmental health concerns. Essential Criteria:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in environmental engineering with Bachelor of Engineering Degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in applying relevant legislative, statutory and industry standards in relation to environmental engineering design and planning.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of water and wastewater treatment infrastructure and process.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of process and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimum supervision on a diverse range of design projects.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively plan the use of resources to meet the project requirements.
  • Ability to liaise, communicate and manage external clients/ authorities.
  • Be familiar with the current legislation (including the Water Industry Competition Act) relevant to water recycling schemes and all environmental legislation and acts.
  • Demonstrate understanding of water quality parameters and their impact on environmental health and their chemical composition.
  • Experience in writing reports such as REFs, water quality validation reports etc
  • Be willing to work closely in the field with process and chemical engineers to come up with the best environmental outcome for on-going operation and maintenance of treatment plants
  • Hold a white card (Work Health and Safety General Construction Induction)
  • Being able to assist Field Services Engineers in their day to day operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment and water recycling plants
  • Experience in developing safe work methods statements for the on-going operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment and water recycling plants
  • Being able to the Field Services Engineers in optimising water treatment process as required
  • Experience  in monitoring of the performance of sub contractors, including safety and environmental performance, deal with daily issues, and take other actions as necessary

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing team in central west NSW, based in either Orange or Dubbo. The ideal candidate will provide management and technical expertise in our urban, water and wastewater projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical input into engineering design and reporting on a range of projects.
  • Project management activities.

  • Proactively identify and address potential changes to project scope/costs.

  • Coordination and management resources, both internal and external.
  • Assessment and documentation of client requirements and preparation of contracts.
  • Project forecasting and coordination of multi-disciplinary project teams, and progress reporting.
  • Management of project team members, including selection, appraisal participation and identification of training needs or requirements.
  • Develop professional relationships with clients to retain and grow our client base.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for securing new business.
  • Delivery of projects to clients in accordance with agreed specifications.



  • Bachelor of Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years post graduate industry experience, most likely in consulting engineering


  • Current CPEng
  • Strong practical knowledge of engineering principles, relevant codes, standards, and engineering legislation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Role Description

  • Must have had a previous Australian Geotechnical Engineering Role and be an Australian citizen with current drivers license.

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients with excellent communication, high quality service and timely delivery, develop new clients from existing contacts, referrals or opportunities
  • Demonstrated passion for the geotechnical engineering field, with software, communication and report writing skills essential.
  • Provide a cross selling opportunities for environmental, remediation and laboratory projects.
  • Travel for projects and be proficient and autonomous in project design, sampling, conducting & managing fieldwork.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, external organisations, government, academia, media and other interested parties.

The Geotechnical Engineer must have at least 3-5 years local experience, relevant qualifications and also have field experience and report writing skills on Australian projects. Ideal experience includes business development, field work, report writing, proposal writing and project management and would be expected to have and will have a key focal point for client liaison and report preparation and review.
